Dear Minister,
Yesterday, you claimed that the US and UK winning the australian sub-marine contract was, for France, a “stab in the back”.
Losing a contract to a competitor (or several) is not a “stab in the back”. Let me tell you what a stab in the back is:
A stab in the back is suing a partner of more than 20 years, whose seriousness, experience and work you have always extolled.
A stab in the back is using the power of the French State to circumvent French court decisions, and to do so in all impunity.
A stab in the back is grabbing an asset you covet and that you know (and have claimed for decades) is not yours. And to do so without any notice, without any communication or compensation.
A stab in the back is to deprive an entrepreneur, without ANY compensation, of his business, his creation, and his main asset when he is 56 years old and has invested everything he had in his company.
A stab in the back is knowingly destroying a company with which you have been a partner for almost a quarter of a century, without any regard for the work done and the investments made.
A stab in the back is the arrogance, the contempt with which you have concocted and managed this despicable and regrettable affair.
Dear Minister, you have the power – the duty, in fact – to correct this blatant injustice done in your own name – need I remind you that the France.com domain name was transferred to your name?
I urge you to do so. Leave the backstabbing to others. We’ll all be much better for it.
Respectfully,
Jean-Noel Frydman
